Fred Langston

Fred Langston has been at forefront of InfoSec for over two decades, with an experienced track record spanning back to his role as one of the authors of the HIPAA security rule. Fred brings deep-rooted IT Security experience from the healthcare industry.

With over 24 years of professional information security experience working for thousands of clients creating effective risk management strategies, enterprise security and data protection programs, and a set of effective, proven business and security services that are in use at hundreds of companies today, Mr. Langston has long been at the forefront of information security. He participated in a working group that contributed to the HIPAA Proposed Security Rule, has chaired the security sessions at HIMSS, was formerly on the HITRUST Alternate Controls Committee and was in the working group that created SIG and the AUP for the Banking IT Security (BITS) Forum, Financial Institutions Shared Assessments Program (FISAP).
